Jr. Robotics using VEX Go

Age: 6 - 8 Yrs.

This course introduces students to the science of robotics and STEM. It helps young students perceive coding and engineering in a fun way to solve real-life challenges by building robots that respond to their commands, interact with the outside environment, and automate their robots using sensors.

Robotics using VEX IQ

Age: 9 - 13  years

10:00 - 11:30 am 

Learn how to build and program robots that respond to your commands, solve real-life problems and automate robots using sensors. Learn programming fundamentals, simple machines, and object manipulation, and apply testing techniques to identify improvements. Achieve fun challenges such as Maze, Avoid Obstacles, and more!

Discover Electronics

Age: 6 - 9 years

Introduces children to the basics of electricity, current and voltage relationship, learn how to build circuits based on input-output relationship. Children will create different gadgets, devices, and toys through hands-on inventions by combining electronics and crafts. Learn how to apply the design-thinking process to build prototypes and test their automated electrical solutions.

Mechanics

Age: 9 - 13  years

12:00 - 1:30 Pm

Students will be introduced to engineering design and critical thinking, building stable structures, and manipulating speed and torque with no motors or coding. Also, learn how to make mechanical models powered by air pressure (pneumatics); after building the prototypes, students will learn how to modify them to increase efficacy through experiments.

2:30 - 4:00 pm

Advanced Jr. Robotics using VEX Go

Age: 6 – 9 years

2:30 – 4:00 pm

Participants will learn more intricate ways to assemble VEX GO components, exploring advanced building techniques that allow them to create more sophisticated robot designs. This might involve using gears, axles, and connectors in innovative ways to achieve specific tasks.

Advanced Robotics using VEX IQ

Age: 9 – 13 years

2:30 – 4:00 pm

Through this course students will learn more sophisticated programming techniques, including advanced sensor integration. They will apply these skills to create robots that can autonomously navigate complex environments and complete intricate tasks. It will also emphasize advanced designing
mechanisms like lifts, arms, advanced drivetrains.

LEGO STEM Park

Age: 3 - 5  years

Students will be introduced the STEAM Park which is a set for preschool students. It is designed to help students develop science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) skills, including understanding cause and effect relationships, making predictions and observations, problem-solving, and creating representations.

Junior Scientists

Age: 5 - 8 years

VEX Robotics Competition Program

using VEX IQ

Age: 8 - 13  years

1:30 - 6:00 pm

VEX IQ is based on plastic, snap together pieces specifically designed to build highly functional robots. This system doesn’t require any prior knowledge in robotics. Students can easily build their first
robot, and the wide variety of additional parts means that they can build anything they imagine as they continue to learn.

VEX Robotics Competition Program

Age: 13 - 18  years

VEX V5 represents REC Foundation's fifth generation of education robotics systems developed with 20 years of experience using robotics to teach STEM principles. V5 electronics are approachable, flexible and powerful, using state of the art technology to ensure relevant education outcomes.
